Breaking news...Fairy: Falls. Walks around creepily on floor.

Another night bus- from St Elena to Cuidad Bolivar (Venezuela still).

St Elena bus station was crazy crowded. Not with people, but with what initally looked like a suspended ceiling of glitter - and eventually turned out to be thousands and thousands of flying insects.

Insects that looked very much like tinkerbell when they were flying, and very much like evil worms when their wings fell off. Which happened in copious quantities.

By the time we left the station there was/were:
- insects from floor to ceiling whereever there was an electric light;
- wingless versions of the same insects crawling over much of the floor area (though a lot less densly than those dominating the area above ground level);
- wings all over the floor;
- one dog having an AWESOME time chomping at said insects and being very satisfied with itself as it managed to snack on some;
- about 4 kids with containers trying to trap as many of the insects as possible;
- about 45% of non insect/dog/child patrons of the station freaking out and flailing their arms in front of their faces every time they walked through the cloud;
- about 10% indifferent patrons; and
- the remainig 45% of patrons being both confused and intrigued by the swarm.

The night bus started with a movie about bad cops in New Orleans post katrina. The really sad thing about that film is that Val Kilmer has really let himself go. Peaked at willow I reckon. Also, it is a pretty bad movie. It was in English at least, and I'm sure all the tittles, shooting, and drugs, were great entertainment for the number of toddlers on board.

Movies were swapped 2/3 of the way through for something much more family appropriate. The mummy. (Brendan Fraser peaked at California Man...that was him wasn't it?). The mummy was on a disc with 5 other films. When the mummy rolled into the mummy 2 I had about a 70 minute long fear that I would be forced to listen to 6 Mummy films dubbed into spanish and on a rolling playlist all the way to Cuidad Bolivar.
They turned it off eventually.

Rush trip from the bus station to the airport in the morning (as our premium bus service had broken down) where we met up with Jo and Ollie (two people we had met in St Elena previously) and started our jaunt to Angel Falls in earnest.
